1. Phân chia thời gian làm Writing IELTS Task 1

Bạn nên hoàn thành bài viết Task 1 trong vòng 15 phút vì phần thi có độ khó không cao và chỉ chiếm 1/3 số điểm. Trong đó, bạn nên dùng phần lớn thời gian để tập trung vào thân bài vì đó chính là yếu tố chiếm nhiều điểm nhất trong bài thi Task 1. Tuy nhiên đó không đồng nghĩa với việc qua loa những phần còn lại của bài viết.

Ngoài ra, câu overall của Writing Task 1 cũng rất quan trọng. Do đó, bạn nên dành thời gian để viết thật cẩn thận nhưng chú ý không nên suy nghĩ, đắn đo quá nhiều, làm ảnh hưởng đến thời gian viết bài. Ngoài ra,Jaxtina khuyên bạn nên hoàn thiện câu Introduction thật nhanh vì không hề khó để viết tốt và nhanh chóng nếu có sự luyện tập trước.

2. Phân bổ thời gian làm Writing Task 2

Task 2 của IELTS Writing đòi hỏi bạn phải viết một bài luận có độ dài tối thiểu là 250 chữ mà phạm vi của chủ đề thì lại rất đa dạng và phong phú. Do đó, bạn nên dành trên dưới 40 phút để hoàn thiện bài viếtTtask 2. Sau đây là một số lời khuyên mà Jaxtina dành cho bạn với phần bài viết này:

Bạn nên dành ít nhất 5 phút để đọc kĩ, phân tích đề bài và lập dàn ý. Nếu outline càng rõ ràng và chi tiết thì khi viết, bạn sẽ tiết kiệm được nhiều thời gian hơn. Việc này cũng sẽ giúp bạn tránh được lỗi lạc đề hoặc viết lan man, không đúng trọng tâm. Tuy nhiên, bạn cũng không nên dành quá 10 phút để phân tích và lập dàn bài.
Với khoảng 30-35 phút còn lại, bạn hãy tập trung vào việc viết bài dựa trên outline mà bạn đã lập từ trước. Trong đó, bạn chỉ nên dành khoảng 10 phút cho phần introduction và conclusion thôi để có nhiều thời gian hơn cho phần thân bài nhé.

Với 5 phút cuối cùng, bạn hãy kiểm tra bài thi của mình thật cẩn thận và chú ý rà soát các lỗi như chính từ, ngữ pháp, chia động từ,… Đôi khi 5 phút kiểm tra lại bài này sẽ giúp bạn cứu vãn được band điểm của mình đấy. Đừng chủ quan mà bỏ qua việc này nhé!

Vì task 2 chiếm nhiều điểm và khó hơn nên bạn cũng có thể làm trước rồi mới chuyển qua task 1, như vậy bạn sẽ tránh được lỗi không kịp thời gian để hoàn thiện bài. Tuy nhiên không phải ai cũng thích hợp với phương pháp này, nếu bạn cảm thấy thoải mái hơn với việc làm task 1 trước thì cũng hoàn toàn không sao hết nhé, chỉ cần bạn hoàn thiện mỗi phần trong đúng khoảng thời gian đã phân chia là được.

The bar chart and table give information about a country’s export earnings from five groups of products in 2015 and 2016.

It is noticeable that export revenues in all but one of the five product categories increased over the period shown. While petroleum products were the highest-earning exports in both years, the textile industry saw the most significant growth in earnings.

Export earnings from petroleum products rose from around $61 billion in 2015 to $63 billion in 2016, which was an increase of 3%. Income from engineered goods reached a similar level. The country’s export earnings from these goods went up by 8.5% to approximately $62 billion in 2016.

From 2015 to 2016, there was a 15.24% increase in export revenue from textiles, with earnings rising from roughly $25 billion to over $30 billion. By contrast, there was almost no change in the amount of money earned from agricultural products, which remained at just over $30 billion. Finally, the only decline in income occurred in the gems and Jewellery product group, where export earnings fell by around 5% to approximately $40 billion in 2016.

It is often said that music has the power to unite and connect people, regardless of their cultural backgrounds or ages. I completely agree with this view and will give my reasons below.

Music can certainly reach across cultural and national boundaries and bring people together. Perhaps the best example of this would be the Live Aid concerts that took place back in the 1980s, and which were broadcast to a global audience. Two live events were held simultaneously in the UK and the US, and the objective was to raise funds for famine relief in Ethiopia. The concerts were a huge success, both in terms of the number of people around the world who watched them and their impact on international public awareness of the famine. They demonstrated, I believe, that music truly is the planet’s global language.

Just as it transcends cultures, music also has the ability to connect people from different generations. Regardless of age, we can all enjoy a memorable melody, a strong rhythm, or a beautiful singing voice, and the best songs seem to have the same magical effect on all of us. This would explain why televised music competitions, such as ‘The X Factor’ or ‘The Voice’, are such popular prime-time shows. These programmes attract incredibly broad audiences because singing and popular songs appeal to children, parents, and grandparents alike. I would argue that no other form of entertainment can bring families together in this way.
In conclusion, I believe that music is unique in its capacity to create shared experiences between people, irrespective of culture and age.
